Solitary Pieces

For anyone interested, our move has gone mostly smoothly, and we’re almost settled in. One snag is that we have to shorten my youngest son’s bed because it doesn’t fit in the “box room”. (For anyone not familiar with this term, it seems to be “common knowledge” here in the UK, and refers to the tiniest bedroom in the house, which—I believe—has been named thusly due to the fact that it shares space with the stairwell, hence “box”.)

Anyhow, between cleaning the old house, and cleaning and organizing the new house, I’ve stolen a few hours in game almost every day to relax and get my Rift fix. My attention is a bit iffy though, and I think because of that, I seem to have noticed several stand-alone pieces that I’d never noticed before.

Short Hiatus

You’ve probably noticed that I’ve not posted much in the last week. I’m busy preparing a house move—our landlord sold the house, and with seven months remaining in the UK, we’ve had to find a new place to live.

Hence, the computer will be unplugged this weekend, and the blog will be silent for the time it takes us to move and settle into the new place.

For now, I leave you with this:

Firstly, The Inn at Gustav’s Cove O-RP is now open again on Zaviel, EU. (Thank you Trion! ❤ )

Secondly, this week I opened a new dimension called C-RP Dagnir’s Crevice. I wanted to attempt a proper dimension transformation, to see if I could do it in a believable way. It’s a tiny build, in the Sanguine Shores dimension, based around the myth of a dagger Gwedhiel carries. Please feel free to take a look, and if you have a minute, I’d love to know what you thought of it. An accompanying text regarding the dagger’s story will eventually follow. Stay tuned! 😉

Shelter in the Mountain

Since the Cozy Cottages III contest last September, Mordrahan’s Refuge de montagne has haunted me. I’ve gone back several times, almost sad that I couldn’t give it another +1. (Feendish’s contest is a great way to get to know other dimensioneers, and possibly even make a new friend or two.)

Over the last few months, I’ve learned that Mordrahan is a roleplayer on Brisesol, with the guild L’Ordre Draconique. As such, I would say he is mostly a roleplay-oriented builder, with a fantastic eye for detail and realism, and each of his many builds tells a story.

Tribal Looks

I’ve been hoarding some of these images for a little while, trying to accumulate a bunch of different looks for those who tend toward tribal attire. The Captured Kelari Ornaments are a big hit with this crowd to be sure, which are a bit of an Ember Isle rep grind, but if I’m not mistaken, there’s another item that looks very similar called Spellbalde’s Ornaments, though I’m not sure how to get it.

Clockwise from top left: Pikka@Brisesol, Edena@Brutwacht, Charismati@Brutwacht, Gwinevere@Zaviel, Bluetattoo@Brisesol.

Postcards to Greatfather Frost Recipients

The “Postcards to Greatfather Frost” giveaway has now closed. It went well beyond my expectations, and I was really excited to see the entries! The downfall, is that for the first time ever, I have had to actually use Google’s Random Number generator because Trion gave me 10 codes and there were 14 entries.

Here are the random numbers in the order they appeared: 13, 8, 5, 6, 9, 3, 10, 7, 12, 2.

Congratulations to all the winners! I will be sending out the codes tonight. These codes expire February 28th, 2018, but please activate them as soon as possible!

From among the entries, I will be choosing one screenshot to turn into an “actual” postcard for next year’s Fae Yule celebration. (If you would prefer I not use your entry, please let me know. However, I assure you it will be done in good taste!)

As a side note—and especially for those who didn’t win this time—as part of the Trion Creator Program, I get codes on a monthly basis and attempt to do something fun as a giveaway each month. So stay tuned!
